Subtle always-on recording indicator

While you're dictating, the only sign you're live is the recording pill. A quieter, always-visible signal (a menu-bar tint, a thin edge glow, a tiny dot) would make it obvious the mic is hot without taking up screen. Requested by an early user who talks first and checks later.
